EMG Summary- Sales of Scooters in India

India is a relatively poor, highly populated country. However the country is large and requires an efficient method for traveling. Given that the common family will not purchase large vehicles due to the space dilemma and costs, it would be in the automotive company’s interest to sell large quantities of the motored scooter. Furthermore, the high levels of political corruption have caused the fuel costs to rise; rising fuel costs is an important customer disincentive to consider when deciding what type of motored vehicle to export.
Having said that corruption is the root for disincentive, corruption is also a means by which the organization can sustain or increase sales. Corruption is the largest business in India. Besides the potential aid from corruption, the exporting business should be easy to establish since the government is attempting to make foreign access to the local markets easier. Success of scooter sales is guaranteed.
