At 7:30 p.m. on Sunday the 5th of May 2013, the Chinese troops pulled out of Depseng Valley in Ladakh, India. According to Indian authorities of New Delhi, the Chinese troops (with dogs and 3 vehicles) had initiated the 21-day-long standoff 21 miles within India's borders. In the end both India and China had a mutual agreement to remove troop simultaneous from Burste Bulge (conflict zone).
The conflict may foreshadow the visits of India's External Affairs Minister and the Chinese Premier to China and India, respectively. If the visits to China or India do not occur, tension between the countries could ensue. Tension would place strain on trade for both countries because China is India's number one export country and India is also a top export country. Furthermore, if trade between the countries were to be strained, then economic development for both countries would reduce.
However, I believe that territorial conflict between the countries will smoothen out. Both countries have had multiple conflict in the last-half century, but overall the countries relationship has dramatically improved since the Sino-Indo war.
